Should I Enable Comments?

Update: They're enabled! Thanks to Jimmy Bogard for delivering a knockout argument.

I've avoided enabling comments on this blog up until now, for two reasons: a) It seemed like a lot of work to implement on my semi-homegrown platform; and b) I didn't want the hassle of moderation and spam filtering.

Well, I recently discovered JS-Kit, which makes adding comments ridiculously easy. It also includes a moderation engine and spam filtering. So I thought I'd give it a try.

What do you think? Should I enable comments? Do you have another comment engine that you prefer over JS-Kit? Let me know in the comments below. (RSS subscribers, you'll probably need to click through.)
